Type of Grants

Documents attached to the payment application

Death grant

  1. Application for payment of additional grant.

  2. Death certificate.

  3. Legal notification of the limitation of succession.

  4. Legal power of attorney (If collected by an attorney)

  5. Letter indicating the person responsible for the funeral expenses in case of non-existence of widow or adult children.

Marriage grant for the daughter of a deceased worker.

* The amount of the two grants for death and funeral expenses are equivalent to three-month salary based on the basic salary subject to the contributions if the deceased is in service and they are equal to a pension of three months if he is a pensioner. The funeral expenses grant should not exceed RO.1000/- under all circumstances.

For urgent payment of the additional allowances (The two grants for death and funeral expenses) it is enough to fill in the payment application form in addition to the necessary statement depending on each and every case.

The marriage grant is paid to the daughter entitled to part of the pension of her deceased father or deceased mother for her marriage, which is equivalent to 15 times her share in the pension. This said grant is paid once to the individual daughter. 

No additional grants will be given to the deceased if: (a) The death occurs after termination of service, (b) Lapse of one year from the entitlement date without submitting the payment application, (c) He is entitled to another retirement pension from another pension fund.
