The
meeting discussed the first draft for PACI's five-year strategic
plan. The administration has tried to develop its services , expand
the cover of social insurance , develop human resources and apply
new technologies ; being the recommendations and the outcome of the
seminar held at PACI to identify the broad framework for this plan
that have been incorporated into a strategy that reflects PASI's
future vision.
The Board also discussed PASI's financial and accounting policies
and procedures guideline which defines the document cycle that
should be followed when processing any of the financial or
accounting transactions. The guideline was prepared by an external
consultant. The Board also reviewed the efforts of the investment
committee during the first half of the current year and discussed
the investment opportunities offered to it.
The meeting also reviewed a number of memoranda on the conditions of
the insured such as treating the conditions related to extending the
previous service for the insured who received portion of their end
of service gratuity before the Social Insurance Law takes effect.
The meeting also discussed the conditions of the insured moving to
and from private sector. The Board was also briefed on PASI's
executive management preparations to host the seminar at the last
quarter of the year on administrative and operational efficiency at
social insurance authorities and pension funds.
The Board also reviewed a number of administrative issues raised by
the administration, as well as, other issues on the agenda. |
